Given the holes in the state budget continues to deepen due to non realization of fiscal indicators, the main problem remains to Proper administration of the tax system. A special mission of the International Monetary Fund assistance, the arrival in Tirana for several days, it requires improvement of tax administration of all fiscal procedures starting from one's own electronic disclosure of turnover. According to tax data, emphasis is also put to a rigorous control of the tourism sector as the need to avoid informality in this field. From technical discussions with the IMF is agreed that taxes should have control of the territory to be recorded accurately, as travel agencies operate as restaurants and hotels and facilities that are leased. But parallel to this situation, the sector has resulted in a decrease of two years. Despite the boom in the number of tourists entering Albania from tourism revenues for 2011 were 4.6% lower than in 2010, recording a figure of 1.1 billion euros. While that seems best year was 2009 with 1.3 billion. On the other hand tourism is considered as one of the sectors that provide foreign currency to remain a priority for the sustainability of the Albanian economy.
