Muzeu arkeologjik ne parkun kombëtar te Apollonisë ka rihapur dyert pas 20 vjetesh. 688 objekte te rëndësishme, si dhe numër i madh monedhash antike e bëjnë atë nder muzetë me te pasur ne vend.
arkeologu e studiuesi i kësaj zone Neritan Ceka tha se Apollonia e lashte pas pese vitesh do te jete qendra e Shqipërisë juglindore sa i përket turizmit. Edhe ministri i turizmit Bumçi e vlerësoi këtë muze si një motor zhvillimi për zonën ne drejtim te turizmit. Projekti i restaurimit te muzeut arkeologjik ka nisur 3 vjet me pare me një fond prej 140 mije dollarësh, financim i UNESKO-s. Muzeu me sipërfaqe 1 mije metra katror, u mbyll ne fillim te viteve 90 për shkak te amortizimit te godinës. Objektet arkeologjike qe prej asaj kohe janë ruajtur ne institutin e monumenteve ne kryeqytet. Ndërkohe portiku qe pësoi çarje pas rrëshqitjes se tokës, vijon te jete ende i dëmtuar.
